Online Class Delivery "Online" is defined as classes that are administered via remote learning platforms, and are generally held with no set class times or live instructor. WSET Online classes are conducted using the Canvas platform, and there is no minimum student level. Students book through New England Wine Academy, follow the online sessions at their own pace, and take their exam with New England Wine Academy on the assigned dates. There is a WSET approved instructor assigned to each session, and this instructor will give feedback on quizzes, tasting notes, etc. The material for online classes is exactly the same as for in-person classes, but the administration of that material is delivered via an online platform and is available to students for a year after the class start date. You can study at your own pace over the course period, with no set dates/times for classwork, but rather a combination of weekly assignments and feedback from instructors to compliment the coursework. EXAMS WSET is now offering level 1 and level 2 exams with the option to take exams online, rather than in-person. When you check out for a class enrollment, you will be asked to make a selection as to the exam setting you wish to pursue. There is a small additional charge for the remote invigilation process as there is an additional third-party system used for control and validation purposes. Please follow this link to review the Candidate Remote Invigilation document prior to making a final decision. Although it is highly recommended that candidates take their exams on the assigned course date, from time to time life happens. Candidates do have up to 1 year from the course date to complete their exams - either in-person or remotely. |
Please note, cancelling or rescheduling an exam less than 7 days prior to the exam date, will result in rescheduling fee. We work with our students to ensure they are aware of all dates, but please mark your calendars with all relevant dates/times. Let us know as early as possible if you are unable to make and exam for any reason.
