Webinar:
Get Your Gamay On

The next webinar in our Academy series will focus on the grape variety GAMAY. Primarily found in wines of the Loire and Beaujolais regions of France, Gamay has been a workhorse grape of the people for centuries. Not always liked or favored by the top classes (and booted out of Burgundy 700 years ago!), this grape thrives in regions where other grapes have trouble, and for that we love it!
Brian Mitchell hosts this webinar detailing the history of the Gamay grape, where it is grown and produced, and some key wines from those regions. All while working through a guided tasting of 6 wines from various producers.
Please note: you do not need to have all (or any really) of the wines to enjoy this informative session, and if you do purchase the wines, we are ok if you do not open all of them on the webinar night. Rather, we suggest you open perhaps two (one from the Loire and one from the Beaujolais region) just to get a good comparison, and then enjoy the rest at your pace and when you want.
A little tip - we will be tasting the wines in the order in the photo below .

If you would like to purchase a sampler set of the wines that will be used in this seminar, you can click on the link below and purchase through the Wise Old Dogs Wines of West Hartford. They are featuring this set for an awesome price and we highly recommend this group of wiens - in fact Brian Mitchell helped to select the items and contributed tasting notes for this set.

Please note - New England Wine Academy and Brian Mitchell receive no commissions or payments for the sale of the wines at Wise Old Dog - we are just good friends.
