Students will participate in a great educational process designed to be an introduction to the formal understanding of the spirits category and hosted in a great setting for this experience.
Hosted at the Hartford flavor Company in Hartford, the course is being taught by Susannah Marchese, a WSET Level 3 Spirits educator, and alumni of New England Wine Academy.
Taught over three sessions, the class is designed to cover the complete WSET Level 1 Spirits requirements, and will culminate in the course exam taking place in the final session. Students do have the option to take an online exam at a later date if they wish.
Students will taste a selection of spirits and learn about how spirits are made, with distinctions of each category, as well as an introduction to tasting using the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting process.
The tuition fee includes all registration booking, course study material, exam fee, and tasting samples. Students will also receive a complimentary Pro-Membership access code to Brainscape, the web's leading online flashcard study site.
The registration deadline is Jan 21, 2024, but in order for students to receive the course textbook on the first class date, registration should be completed by Sunday Jan 14. Registrants after this date will receive their course book at class session number 2.
Please note, due to WSET policy this class has a minimum enrollment standard. In the unlikely event that the minimum standard is not met, NEWA will refund all student tuitions and fees in full.
