The online version of the WSET Level 1 Award in Sake offers students the opportunity to study on their own schedule over a 4-week course period. Learning is guided by an online WSET tutor and broken into five learning modules. Interactive activities help students refine their studying and exam preparations.
New England Wine Academy also offers a Brainscape Pro membership for each student candidate (1 per year covers all course levels). This will be sent to you upon successful registration in a course. Brainscape is the web's leading Flashcard study app, and is a great tool for success in your drinks study.
Please note: This course is offered online. Certification exams are held on scheduled exam dates and can be taken online from home or in person at Thomas Hooker Brewery at the Colt Building, in Hartford, CT. All of our exam procedures follow CT guidelines regarding social distancing.

The exam: This is a 45-minute, 30-multiple choice certification exam, which can be taken via remote invigilation (online) or in person.
Who should attend:This entry level course is appropriate for students who are new to the subject of sake and seeking to learn about sake in a structured way. Students should allocate approximately 6 hours of personal study time to be successful in this course.
